Sure. Let's glamorize foot fetishes.

The leery Lord Larys having one off the wrist while he perves on alluring Alicent's scandalously naked feet. Is this the message we want to send to our children ? No ! We must reinforce the principle that feet should be kept covered and out of sight at all times lest they inflame the passions of these fiendish foot freaks !

What next HotD ? Bug stomping !?

reply

Lol!!

Bug stomping? Hell, I'm waiting for burning ants with a magnifying glass.

But they might not have those in Westeros. I'm just wondering if Larys and Alicent stop there. Surely they must be into some other freaky stuff. I bet she rubs off to that clubfoot of his.

reply

Alicent is not the goody two shoes she pretends to be. I think when she took Ser Criston over from Rhaenyra she decided to retain his "extra duties".

reply

I'm not going to yuck Larry's yum, but I'm genuinely curious about how this deal was even struck between them. So did the queen ask for a couple murders and he was like, "No problem, but i'm into foot shit, so i'm gonna need you to pop those royal socks off!"

reply

Is that what it was? Because I have to admit I didn’t understand the whole scene. Thought that maybe something was wrong with Alicent’s legs/feet & that’s why he was staring at them. Was debating whether or not she knew he was doing that behind her back. She’s queen! She’d have to be A: Really weirded out or B: really scared of the guy to let him do that. I’d get a Kingsguard & have him feed this guy to a dragon

reply

That scene was genius.

I'm hoping to see the smoking fetish sometime in this show.

i don't get the foot fetish thing

I think it's idiotic, dude got a clubfoot ends up with foot-fetish I think it's just the showrunners avoiding more sex/nudity in the series compared to early GoT seasons.

Otto knows about Larys nightly visits but decides to ignore it, this is the same person who wants Rhaenyra and her family killed to make Aegon II transition to power a problem free one. Sadly this is the major weakness of this show's characters compared to early GoT seasons they seem to be naive and lost in direction.
