This show jumped the shark after episode 5

The time jumps, changing the actresses, introducing so many new characters that are offed and we are expected to care about them after only seeing 5 minutes of them, etc. It is just all over the place and doesn't feels cohesive. Just poor writing and we have yet another time jump coming next episode. It is just no good.

The older actors were chosen first, as this is what most of the time period of the show will be. Young Rhaenyra and young Alicent were fantastic, but their time on the show is done, and I am glad they chose to do it like this instead of flashbacks like what most shows would do.

The show is absolutely intriguing and each episode leaves the viewer wanting more. You can tell because no one grabs their cell phone or tablet while watching. I don't understand those who mention poor writing, what did you want? Pentos to invade King's Landing? The Night King showing up much earlier than anyone thought? This is a leadup to the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen Civil War, one of the most explosive conflicts to ever take place in Westeros. Soak in the dialogue and every event in this show so far, because every single word and action shown means something.

While Emma D'Arcy showed some pretty good acting chops in episode seven, I can only imagine how much more intriguing this episode would have been with the original cast.

I mean, a makeup artist can make anyone look 10 years older, look at Viserys, he looks like he's in his late 60s early 70s. Paddy Considine is in his 40s, its amazing what a little makeup can do.

But whatever, it is what it is. We'll see how it goes...

You are unfortunately in the process of invalidating your opinion in other threads, so I guess anyone with any sense will just move on after they see your name on thread titles.
