Yeah, we know this was a theme important to the show-creators - they talked about it. Also they wasted 2 episodes on anti-Patriarchy expositions.
And that only means the show-runners don't understand history. Inequality of sexes wasn't a conspiracy - it was an unfortunate necessity in a world in which humankind literally had to constantly outbreed Death.

The entire history of human civilization is about distancing ourselves from our natural state. Socialization and integration seem to work reasonably well when we teach our kids to suppress many an outdated instinct.
Whole generations grew up with a single parent after major wars. Having two parents of the same sex would hardly be any worse as long as children are loved, protected and encouraged.
Wll then let me say society is not that vastly different. Also, single parent is a whole different story, doesn't fit the topic.
And it would be worse, let me prove it to you: if a child at any point in his life feels the need to hide the fact that he has same sex parents, then it's a bad thing. Having same sex parents if a thing that his friends or teachers should narurally accept, which is not the case in the current society, and will never be in the forseeable future.

It's not on you to fix everything, they have to fix themselves. Anyway, what do you want? Declare war to take their government out? The next government will be as corrupt and bad as the last one. They need to evolve, change their mentality and culture.
