This is gonna be awesome

I hope they've learned some lessons from the final season of GoT, and adjusted their plans accordingly, like they've hired some reliable showrunners!

So I think there's a good chance that it'll be good, but I have other worries. I mean I read the book and it's not filmable as such, because it covers about 250 years and multiple generations of kings and royal families, it's an interesting read but all very impersonal. And if they just want to start with the Targaryan conquest, I don't know how they can make an overarching story out of that, I mean, the Targaryans conquer, and everyone else gets used to it. There's no "save the world" drama there, and the people I'd be most inclined to sympathize with lose the war.

Not the same showrunners as GOT.

That doesn't mean this will be great, but there's no connection to the creative choices made in that final season of GOT.

They'll be back. Still grumbling about how the other ended, but they'll be back.

The GOT ending/final season pretty much destroyed the famdom but im sure this will do well once more people hear about it.
