Cougars native to Ohio and neighboring states

It was stated incorrectly a couple of times in the movie that cougars are not native to Ohio or neighboring states. I live in Pennsylvania, right next door to Ohio, and can assure the moviemakers that they are indeed native, at least here to PA. Mountain lions were almost completely killed out in the twentieth century but, contrary to the Pennsylvania Fish and Game's official position, a few still remain. They're very rare but they are sighted, once even by me. My uncle also spotted a pair roaming together while deer hunting. They're here. Plenty of forest here for them to thrive in.

Thank you. We couldn't believe they said that either.

At least one's been spotted in Michigan.
