She never had her own series or anything. She was a side character who mostly showed up every now and then to help Spider-Man solve crimes. She had a larger and much cooler role in the Spider-Man cartoon in the 90s. Anyway, even comic fans were curious why they woukd make a movie about her.
I was shocked to see it myself. I thought she just fell to water and they got her out for happy ending. And then she appeared in chair, blind and happy like it's nothing. LOL.
How on earth they expected people to like it and see sequel? They only did it because it was like that in comics. And there she was like that from birth. She is very old on comics also. They really should have just ignored that fact in their movie.

shareI just watched this abomination tonight. I can see how she was blinded, by the firework crap that went to her eyes. But I have no idea how she became paralysed. It just happened and she seemed pretty happy about it. This movie is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. What the hell did I just subject myself to.
