great standup, but the movie...

was utter shite. I felt like it was akin to Fast and Furious 58.

A few things - the movie was too long - they should prolly cut it to 120 minutes, that's how much material of any substance they have.
The writing.... needs major improvement. The standup was great because it sounded realistic enough while being filled with hilarious moments. The premise of this film though..... was in the Fast and Furious territory the entire time - realism was never a thing - ever.

One suggestion - since this film is not even trying to be realistic, it would have been a really cool twist if we learned that Machine's father was in fact one of the Russian mafia granddaddies and that his initial trip (standup) happened the way it did only because of his father's influence in the mafia world. All I'm saying is that an ending twist would have given this film at least some sort of value.

As things stand.... I'm giving this 4 or 5 out of 10 - not recommended.
