God Awful. Wanted to walkout so bad

Just got back from the Myster Movie at Regal tonight. As many predicted it was this and oh boy was it a stinker. Such an odd trainwreck of a movie. It can't decided if it wanted to be a corny Christmas musical comedy for a family audience, typical PG-13 Will Ferrell schlock, or a satire of A Christmas Story. All the songs are so bad and generic they sound like they could've come out of any musical and the dancing looks exactly the same for every song. Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer sound god awful and Ryan Reynolds just sounds like he's talking at a faster pace. If I hadn't been with friends I would've walked out. What a steaming pile of shit.

Everyone in the theater during my showing was clapping along with the songs and laughing all the way through.

once I discovered it was a musical, I found the FF button and skipped over each song.
doing that, it was okay, I enjoyed it, but it was pretty basic story wise.

no interest in watching it again nor buying it

will ferrel built his careers from being poor mans chevy chase.

and ryan reyndols built his careers by doing impression of chevy chase.

i would rather watch chevy chase taking dump than this film!!!
