All this time the lady in the lake been moving up and down the manor and no one ever saw her, or questioned the regular muddy footprints from the river all the way inside the house and back..?

Good point. When the parents were alive they must have gone to be early every night. Literally every single night without exception.

Viola wasn't making her walk every night.

I am rewatching now, and it says a few times a year.

There would have been a lot more ghosts otherwise.

Yeah I got the impression that she went to "Sleep" for a very long time and then would wake up and do that walk pretty rarely. Didn't Viola die in like 1600s

Then why was she walking every night while Dani was there? Seems like much of a coincidence to me.

Not good enough explanation.

I read because Dani accidentally kicked the little doll representing Viola, she woke her up. And it's also been moved several times later on.
