Nicely done. I just used “new” since the first one was put out in February.
shareI don't like watching the trailers, but... M. Night Shyamalan as the director and plus Gael García Bernal as the actor. Sounds fairly interesting!
shareThe Premise looks absolutely abysmal
shareI don't know...I think the premise looks pretty cool, and different.
A family spends time on what is probably not only a "secluded" beach, but perhaps a forbidden or unknown one.
As the day wears on, the parents start to see changes in their kids, and themselves. Probably subtle at first, but then more acute. As they begin to deteriorate due to rapid aging, they have very little time to figure out what's going on, and how to escape a beach that seems to have trapped them in.
Sure, it sounds similar to past films like The Ruins, and maybe even shades of Stephen King's "Thinner". But with all the PC/woke remakes and sequels out there and still coming...I'm willing to give a MNS film a chance. It's hit and miss with M. Night.....but when he hits, he hits it out of the park.
There are some truly abysmal premises out there in movieland over the past few years (Godzilla vs. King Kong.......Fast & Furious 9 (cars in space).......Halloween 28.........etc, etc), but the premise of "old" (if treated right, could be good and spooky. Willing to give it a chance.
BTW...I saw the latest trailer and thought it was GREAT.
