I heard rumors about the original ending of the movie: Kang and MODOK escape, trapping Scott and Hope in the Quantum Realm. Cassie sends out a signal called Avenger Failsafe Protocol.
I don't know if this is true or not.
I'm sure something like that was discussed, but so far no MCU film other than "Infinity War" ended on a cliffhanger.
(And an argument can be made that "Infinity War" didn't even end with a cliffhanger -- the protagonist, Thanos, won in the end and the five-year jump in "Endgame" took all the urgency out of the typical cliffhanger-in-need-of-resolution)
Don't know but watching it, the ending definitely seems like they intended Scott and Hope to be trapped but changed their mind on that at some point in production.
shareI agree completely. I felt they were going to leave them there as a bit of a cliffhanger, but tacked on that silly bit. Maybe because they didn't think there would be a fourth Ant-Man and couldn't leave it up in the air?
