Anyone else think this was the FUNNIEST FRIKKIN' MOVIE of the year?
And that it made The Hangover seem like a half-empty bottle of Boone's Farm?

shareThe camera angles on the iguana and the alligator were weird. But it shows drugs are bad. Mmmkay? Anyway I was crackin up when Cage was nailin that girl in the alley and told her boyfriend to stay and watch.
shareDEFINITELY one of the funniest movies
shareThe scene where Cage's bookie gets shot, and Cage says "his soul is still dancing", and then you see that drug dealer's ghost (apparently) break dancing made me absolutely lose it. I don't think I've laughed at any scene in a movie, even one that's explicitly a comedy, in a long time.
This movie is just so deranged and totally nuts that it''s utterly hilarious.

I think Herzog´s other 2009 movie My Son My Son What Have Ye Done is even more hilarious than this one. Its humor is just more subdued - and morbid - than in Bad Lieutenant.

Excellent, I'm really looking forward to it.
"and I ain't never seen no Queen in her damned Undies, as the feller says..."
"Werner Herzog's "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call, New Orleans" creates a dire portrait of a rapist, murderer, drug addict, corrupt cop and degenerate paranoid who's very apprehensive about iguanas. It places him in a devastated New Orleans not long after Hurricane Katrina. It makes no attempt to show that city of legends in a flattering light. And it gradually reveals itself as a sly comedy about a snaky but courageous man."

Fantastic movie, simply the best film to come out of states in new millennium. Clever and brilliant dark comedy with outstanding performance by Nicolas Cage. This is really masterpiece of cinema and to-be cult movie.
shareI agree - brilliant movie. Laughed my ass off when he pulled on a gun on the old ladies. :D
shareIt is my 'Film Purchase of the Year' for 2010.
