Not a bad Aussie WW1 film
I don't normally get into WW1 films but this was alright.
It concentrates on a young man who joins up to serve his country against his father's wishes. Once in the trenches, he experiences the loss of men around him and the horribleness of war, developing his strength and bravery. The night scenes are done very well and one day scene in particular where the official sit-rep is, "We're f****d," is harrowing.
