I was thinking they could have revealed a Sentinel being the One and having a binary link with the machine God entity. It could be set in the year 2471 with more sterile agents and cold art. Something to do with an ice age. So Neo was the Sentinel and the original One was the machine god entity... Trinity is just tricked and used.
