No Laurence Fishburne = Me waiting for streaming service!

Can't pay any money without him! He was such a big part and replacing him with some other dude just doesn't fly with me.

Hopefully it's great, but without the true Morpheus it's going to suffer. That and the likelihood of wokeness likely being injected, I'm out.

The extremely predictable whining by those who dominate these boards = whoa, how unoriginal. Well, ok red peeer.

Lol, but dat tired ass klanservative crying over wokeness tho. Obviously these “red pill” propagandist bros believe that the very non-reactionary Wachowskis made the original Matrix films for them. XD Yeah, well those are nitwit fear-mongering rightist loons for ya. Good to know Hollywood and many in society will keep triggering these “tough” reactionary babybros… forever. So let them vewy snowy reich wing tears flow cuz as many of you as there are out there, the majority you thankfully don’t represent.

Perhaps you might look in the mirror at who exactly is triggered here. I said one word and you went off the rails! Perhaps I shouldn't assume that this movie is going to be woke. I really hope I'm wrong! It just seems that a lot of the remakes and reboots lately forget to tell a good story and instead try to speak to the present talking points in the media. For me, it's very distracting in movies because it's so damn obvious.

To call anyone who says "woke" a racist by calling them "Klanservative" is extremely excessive and makes yourself look like a kook! You might want to pull back a little bit because when you call everyone racist who goes against your point of view, it's going to be hard to see actual racism when everyone who opposes your point of view is painted as racist.

Don't forget that I was actually bummed out that Laurence Fishburne was my initial gripe about this next film. I want a black man to return... Does that sound racist?

In my opinion, you really shouldn't just group a bunch of people into one group because of one word. I think you're just continuing to divide people by doing that.

Apart from the comment about "wokeness" (Whatever that's supposed to mean) I actually agree with the point about Laurence Fishburne being recast. I find it a very odd decision to bring back the aged Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Anne Moss while recasting Laurence Fishburne's Morpheus whose characterization was arguably the most distinctive and iconic.

Yeah it is disappointing he is not in it, especially if the new character ends up just being him. Also I just read that Smith was supposed to be in it, but due to schedules they couldn't work it out. This is probably a good thing. Smith was in three films as the main villain, we don't need to see him again. Although it makes me question why they would want to bring him back.

Matrix without Morpheus and Agent Smith is like the Bible without the Holy Spirit and the Devil.
