Too bad, from what I hear Canada is very good place to film because of cheap production costs. Anyway, really good film

I agree, as a person who had been there, I was disappointed it wasn't filmed in Calgary. You kind of want to re-live the moment. However, despite that I enjoyed the movie.

The Boy(2015) was not filmed in the American SW, but in Columbia. Used many Columbian actors to look American. I had to watch again to see they were the very white Columbians.

I actually enjoyed the fact a lot of it was filmed in Garmisch as I used to holiday there a lot.

The scene where he's sitting in the hotel lobby in "Calgary" is actually The Edelweiss Lodge and resort in Garmisch and is owned by the US Military.

Casablanca was filmed in Burbank. World shattering stuff, I know.

It would've been better if it was filmed in Calgary due to it being the 1988 Winter Olympics. This fact is why I did not go to see this in the theatre.
