Americans can't read ?

I'm sorry but I got to ask this question... why was This movie remade in an American version (Quarantine) ? What? Are Americans to lazy to go to a movie which they have to read? Or is "Hollywood" to scared to acknowledge that there was a great movie made outside of the United States ? Because I have to say , I lived in America for 4 years and you people really *beep* on foreign films

Say yes to whim ! Say yes to chance ! Say yes to Chaos !

It's just a matter of money.
Maybe Americans just seem to think American stuff is better, more than they don't want to read subtitles.
just look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_television_series_based_on_British_television_series
I think they really should have added Sherlock/Elementary (it's at least a clear rip-off) on here, but I think it just represents it really well how stupid it is.
I also seem to think in the US they release a remake when the original got popular in Europe but before it has reached a big audience in the US, just smart and disgusting marketing tricks.

I'll admit, I loathe foreign films. Not because I can't read, but because I can't thoroughly enjoy a movie with subtitles. It's annoying to read subtitles while watching what's unfolding on the screen.

I know it's trendy to generalize Americans as fat, lazy, and stupid, but it's not just America that remakes foreign films.
