If Smith had just told the truth...

If Kevin Smith had just told the truth that he wanted to focus the first five episodes on Teela and some lesser known character, I don't think that fans of the show would have been nearly as upset about all of this. I for one wouldn't have mind the it. But he actually lied and told fans that the show would be all about He-Man and instead what we got was the two main character as after thoughts in this show...and Teela whining about never being told that Adam was He-Man.

The proper response to the leaks would be to not respond at all.

reply

Sure. He just had to be honest and say that he was preparing a woke show, killing off He Man, blackwashing Grayskull and making it a male-batting lesbian female show.

I'm sure the hype would have skyrocketed 😂

reply

Take the haircut out of the equation. How you know she a lesbo.

reply

Cause when you take her haircut off she looks just like a man

reply

You probably think this girl a Lesbo. I think your lesbo detector is off.

That chick isn't buffed out like a steroided trucker is she?

He-Man is not dead..

They would still be upset. When are fans not upset.

Doom fans seem pretty happy about how id Software rebooted that franchise in 2016. Lots of people also love the follow-up, Doom: Eternal.

Comic fans were quite happy with Cyberfrog, and almost everyone was happy with Netflix's Daredevil series.

reply

If he told the truth no one would have bloody watched it, and he knew that, which is why he lied.

reply

Nah.. I would have watched it.. I have been a fan of Masters of the Universe since child hood. The world of Eternia has many more interesting characters than just He-Man and Skeletor. Only focuses on them all the time is like DC only focuses on Batman and Superman in practically every animated show that they make when there are literally hundreds of other characters in the comics that they can write interesting stories about. It gets boring after awhile at least for me.

reply

This. When I watch Masters of the Universe I wanna see He-Man and Skeletor fighting it out for Eternia. They were barely in it

reply

I don't know, not everyone has burning hatred for Teela like you guys do. Some of actually like Teela. After watch Smith Podcast. Im almost completely sure its about Teela becoming the new Sorceress. Frankly He-man wasn't necessarily the most interesting character in the original or the boring 2002 reboot.

reply

So we're all misogynist now huh? You woketards are so predictable. Teela was fine in the original, in the movie and in the 02 series. This is not Teela. Not personality or looks wise

reply

I didnt call you misogynist. Your the ones who got your panties in a bunch. Because the show dared not to make He-man the main focus of the show. Why dont you bitch about story that about Supergirl or Batgirl. Ill admit she was bitchy at times. But i think that going to be resolved by the time its over. There are things called character arc and were only half way through this thing. And even if she wasn't bitchy you probably still not like it because "Its not about He-man". Well the Dark Knight is not about Batman. But everyone praises that to no end.

reply

If there was a supergirl show without supergirl is it a supergirl show you moron?

Wtf do you mean the Dark Knight isn't about Batman? You're too retarded for words

reply

So why didn't they market it that way? I'll tell you why because they knew full well if was done as the Teela show numbers would have been very low. Classic bait and switch.

All the marketing was He-Man and Smith even stated that he would definately not be sidelined and what happens they kill him not only once but twice. Also in a show aimed at boys they sideline, kill or emasculate every single male character.

Netflix reboot She-Ra and aim it at girls, great but a show for boys can't have male characters somehow that is bad and this show has to be for everyone. Bit hypocritical.

You want new fans. Again great, you need them to carry something forward but what you don't do is purposefully piss on the original fans. The only reason this is being made at all isi due to its popularity because of the fans but somehow like all these companies do deem them worthless and just slag them off with constant insults.

I'm so glad the Q+A got cut short, i watched it live it was an absolute trainwreck and Smith had a complete meltdown.

Netflix and Smith knew if they told the truth, Revelation would have no chance of being a top 10 Netflix show.
