So many questions not answered (Spoilers)

1. Was no one looking for Florence Pugh? She was a surgeon, I would think people would wonder where she was or start a missing persons investigation.
2. The whole point of Harry Styles deciding to take part was because he could not get a job and felt useless. Wouldn't having him (most of the time) and his wife under virtual reality be astronomically expensive? He would of had to find another job since it showed he was going to work each day and wouldn't that have solved the problem of not having to be in the virtual reality?
3. How did Styles progress in the company? Is it the more money you pay the more promotions and prestige you achieve? Kind of goes back to the second point.
4. When Chris Pine's wife stabs him at the and says "Now it's my turn" what does that mean? Was she behind it the whole time because, that makes no sense since Pine was the one who was giving lectures in the real world.
5. Wouldn't Pine be working for government intelligence in a scientific position or open up a company which specializes in a virtual reality of the customer's choosing? He would probably be a multi billionaire easily. Why is he marketing to only a handful of unemployed husbands?

where were the bodies being kept?

reply

Yeah. You could easily keep going with unanswered questions and plot holes. That sad thing is that I believe the script they originally had by Carey and Shane Van Dyke was a quality piece (it was on the Black List for best unproduced scripts of 2019). However, once Wilde got involved she wanted to inject social commentary and gender politics into it and brought in her screenwriter from her previous picture, Booksmart and that is when the film's quality began to deteriorate.

is that it?? the original script was better?? I totally believe that too. There were so many parts that felt like woman added "this or that" because they think they know exactly what men want. turns out they don't really understand it.

"Car chase with cars going fast and bumping?" CHECK! No, OMFG. That was so boring. I even made a post on here asking if this movie could have been better helmed by more experienced men.

While I don't think every question needs to be answered in this type of film. I think too many were left unanswered. I had the same questions as above and also, was the plane incident ever explained? Why was it there, how did it come to be? I was really enjoying this until the third act. The more they revealed it just led to further questions that didn't make sense.

and also why no security posted on the "headquarter", if it's so important to prevent people from escaping. People (the wives) can wondering around like has been demonstrated by Alice in the movie.
