Just chop his damn head off.
When I saw the original Halloween (back in the 70s), it was amazing because it was new and fresh. When Michael was shot and went over the railing, the entire audience was thinking, "Well, that's the end of that." But then the shocker came, showing the empty ground. My friends and I talked about it for weeks.
Fast-forward forty-some years, and the audience is no longer thinking, "That's the end of that." They've seen it before. What they're thinking is, "Chop his damn head off!" or, "Bash his head with the baseball bat until it's mush!" What makes it worse is these characters in the film who've been chasing Michael all evening are aware of Michael's resurrections. They know he doesn't die easily. You would think that at least one of them would step forward and say we're not done yet.
I used to be a fan of the series, but it's getting ridiculous.
