You see the car start and then hear the radio playing music really loud, but then it sounds like the radio is being fiddled with. I immediately thought that messing with the radio isn't something Michael Myers would do.
shareI was 50/50. Michael's a smooth operator but not to the point of being able to break into a car unnoticed. I also took into consideration that he knew how to drive a car (despite spending his entire life in a mental institution). Overall he's never been one to run or do anything requiring intellect (like you said with changing the radio) so I slowly knew it wasn't him and the escapee.
shareYeah it might be easier for us as an audience to spot those things though since we've seen Michael in a different perspective than the other characters in this movie have.
Like when that same guy is running from the mob in the hospital, I knew there's no way it was Michael because he isn't one to run from anybody. Not only that, but that guy in no way fits the description of Michael. He's quite a bit shorter.
True, though I think Tommie had no excuse, who out of everyone has had a first hand look at the guy up close. Though years have passed, that sort of traumatic sight stays with you I'd think.

But I think I missed something, who exactly was that guy who was in the car? I know he later jumped out of the hospital window but was that character somehow relevant to the previous Halloween movies?
He was one of the other mental patients that escaped from the bus in the 2018 movie, he's the old short bald guy with the umbrella at the beginning of the 2018 movie at the asylum when the podcasters are talking to Michael.

shareI completely forgot that he was shown in Halloween (2018), but while they're in the bar and the news is talking about the transport bus that crashed they mention how two of the inmates escaped. One being Michael and the other being that guy.

shareWhen she first got into the car and saw that there was someone in there, yeah I naturally assumed it was Michael. (Of course, right before she got in I expected Michael to be in there based on how the windows looked but still.) After that, though? I knew it most likely had to be someone else. But despite the radio thing, for a second there I again wondered if it could’ve been Michael in there (I thought, well who else could it be except some complete rando?). Cool scene
