Sam Cooke scene

I don't expect films to be historically accurate, but the only true part in the scene where Sam Cooke plays the Copacabana is that Sam peformed there that night.

First, the Copa would not have booked an act the crowd would be hostile toward.

Second, the crowd wasn't hostile.

Third, A classic live album was recorded at the show.

Four, he didn't sing the theme from the movie Tammy.

This makes me wonder how fictional the Jim Brown scene was.

Good acting. The actors are creating characters, not mimicking.

Read two web articles about the scene. They were both fictionalized, tho situations the Jim Brown incident were common then.

This movie/play switches events around and makes basically every scene up, but it's with the purpose to fit the theme and environment they want to transmit.
