Rory Steyn the, then bodyguard of Nelson Mandela, wrote in his memoirs that the New Zealand team was poisoned by a waitress named Suzie, to enable South Africa to win the world cup. Check this from The Telegraph:

The Telegraph in the UK has marginally more credibility than the National Enquirer in the US. Not much of a source. Were they also poisoned at half time by France in the 1999 World Cup semi when they blew a 20 point lead? How about all the Bledisloe tests they lost from 1996-2001? Truth is that the All Blacks throughout this period choked in big games. This was just another to add to the list. No conspiracy necessary to explain what happened here.
