Okay haters, put your money where your mouth is. I DARE YOU!

It is oh-SO-cliched and oh-so-easy to hate on Mr. Bay, and though I have been a fan of Transformers since I was a kid AND happen to like this admittedly less-than-perfect movie, I would like all the HATERS and TROLLS out there to put their money where their mouths are and tell us fans:

1) How would YOU in all your unrecognised directorial brilliance have made TF2 had Mr. Spielberg come to YOU? and:

2) What would YOU have written that could possibly have appeased the:

a) KIDS to which Hasbro was aiming their new toyline at;

b) The slightly 'bigger kids' who grew up with Armada and Beast Wars;

c) Us 'biggest kids' with our nostalgia for all things 'G1-related' and;

d) Those movie-goers that were hoping for something a little more adult and edgy, like Batman Begins was?

Well COME ONE HATERS!!! What have you got in mind that wasn't realised on the big screen BUT could have pleased EVERYONE?!

One rule to your replies - you can't replace any actor. Megan Fox IS Mikaela, Shia LeBeouf IS Sam. You can't play switcheroo and have your favourite pin-up of the moment take Megan Fox's place, nor is Edward the vampire invited to assume Sam's character.

Fellow fans are welcome to reply too of course.

A Unicron story arc instead of the Fallen. Have Megatron resurrected as Galvatron and Starcream destroyed. Less human interaction and more focus on the actual transformers. More battles.

I don't hate Bay...come on, the man directed Pearl Harbor, I love that movie!...and I loved Transformers as a kid, I just thought this movie was horribly written, and some of the acting sucked. The robot chick was awful...I can't stand Megan Fox, and I thought she was a thousand times better than the blonde.

I fail to see where my money comes into play with your request. Am I missing something?

The biggest mistake that Transformers 2 was assert that no one knows about the GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS THAT DESTROYED A CITY! As such, the major change to the screenplay that I would have made was make it so that people are aware of the transformers' existence. This gets rid of a plot hole, but it does more. It creates a world where people are afraid to use their cars. Any technology could randomly transform and attack them. This allows a skilled writer an opportunity to make a fun action film with real suspense and a commentary on mankind's relationship with technology.

If you paid to see Transformers 3 in the theater, shame on you.

I gotta agree here. For what it's worth - I saw this twice in the theater. I needed to experience IMAX so I sat thru it a second time. Although entertaining, the movie just wasn't written well. But, holy balls did it have potential! It could have been amazing - sadly, it was far from it. I really like the plot idea that Laserwolf came up with here. THAT would make for a good story. The other stuff that incited mass-hatred didn't really bother me. The Ghetto-bots, the humping dogs and the "enemy scrotum" just made me roll my eyes but I didn't sit there and cry about it. The STORY was severely lacking - but like I said - the potential was there.

Hi, I'm Chandler... could I BE wearing any more clothes???

I really like to think that, if Stephen Spielberg came to me, I'd say: "Stephen, you have a bit of a history with really bad films and this scenario is so sorry that I couldn't make anything worthwhile from it. Rather than set myself up to become a byword for bad directing, I'll just say no."

If I really wanted or needed the money, to the extent that I was prepared to put up with the endless shame of having my name associated with the flick, I would've taken 50% of the pay and subcontracted the job out to a rising star. Then it would be his or her job solve problems raised by the OP.

- I would totally downplay the parents, especially the pot brownie scene
- downplay the soldiers role, light infantry have no place fighting against decepticons. But I suppose the actors need to get paid.
- axe the whole cover up, because thousands of people saw the whole battle in the first movie right in front of them.
- make Optimus less of a useless twat.
