The 1st movie is 28 Days Later, the 2nd movie is 28 Weeks Later....and now the 3rd movie is suddenly 28 Years Later?...what happened to 28 Months Later??? Why did the filmmakers skip months and go straight to years?

28 years later allows for a more interesting narrative progression imo.

Plus, 28 weeks includes months…

Realistically, there's not going to be much difference between 28 weeks and 28 months.

There's a significant difference between 28 days to 28 weeks and 28 weeks to 28 years.
