An impressive cast, and with Danny Boyle returning…..
Nuff said, I’m in and this can’t come soon enough!

shareYes I suppose it's a promising sign if Boyle is returning because I think he said he wouldn't return unless the script was strong enough.
I still don't know what they can bring that will be new to the table? Zombie films have a habit of retreading the same ground because the genre is pretty limited by its story - survival from an apocalyptic pandemic that turns people into the living dead. Presumably there will be a zombie outbreak in this and you wonder how after 28 years down the line this can happen once again.
imo 28 weeks is an excellent film and I’m not sure if Boyle had anything to do with that one.
As to bringing something new to the table, I don’t feel that Boyle has to bring a fresh spin to the genre, he resurrected the zombie genre from the dead ; ) with 28 Days, and has more than earned the right to do what he wants with the story from here on out.
Really enjoyed the first two, looking forward to this.
shareThis is probably a really embarrassing (borderline depressing) thing to admit, but this movie is just about the only thing in my life that I'm looking forward to. I saw 28 Days Later in theater (and 28 Weeks Later), and I've waited for this for so long. Recently my therapist asked me if I was planning to do something stupid to myself, and I said, "Definitely not before June 20, 2025." LOL
But seriously, I'm very happy to see so many of the original people getting involved, and I think that speaks really well of the project because they've held off so many times before when it didn't feel right or a strong enough script. Yay!
Nothing embarrassing about that at all, been there myself, and more than a few times.
shareI agree, i've always liked Danny Boyle a lot/
