i will never buy a ford

I bought a 2004 Ford Explorer for my first "family car"...only had it for about 2 years before I realized what a BIG mistake I made...it was constantly in the shop for transmission problems...luckily, it was still UNDER warranty, but even under warranty it simply wasn't getting fixed by Ford mechanics...rather then wait until I had to shell out my OWN dollars to fix it (& with the escalating gas prices from a few years back, making filling my tank a hefty budget on its own), I downgraded to a Scion XB...just as roomy in the cabin as the Explorer was & cut my gas budget easily by 2/3rds!...virtually NO trunk space, but a small sacrifice for an all around BETTER vehicle that gets me from A to B..and my kids LOVE it!

oh yeah the OP's threat have Ford trembling in their boots. I wouldn't buy ford but not because of this movie. Of all the cars I've ever own half of them are Mercedes Benzes. Love them Krauts.

As every automaker on the planet has been sued for any number of reasons and lost makes your statement absurd. Ford deserves your consideration because they are the only American automaker that did not accept a taxpayer bailout. You probably don't have the money to buy a car so the point is moot.

The reason you don't want to buy a Ford (or a Chrysler or anything from GM) is that they make crappy cars, designed to detonate at about 100k miles. I drive a Honda Civic, good for 250-300k miles, and do nothing but run right. AND I get 30 mpg in town, 37 on the road. Case closed.
