Did you prefer the Cult Classic Hollow Man or this new Invisible Man flick?

Personally, I felt Hollow Man was made for the dudes and The Invisible Man was made for women. Hollow Man feels much more in your face, macho, etc. Plus Elizabeth Shue> Elizabeth Moss.

The Invisible Man is a better film.

reply

Agreed

reply

Hollow Man's special effects still look more cutting edge, even today.

reply

A lot bigger budget there, I am betting, even in adjusted dollars. This one was a Blumhouse production, which are made pretty inexpensively.

reply

Hollow Man!

reply

INVISIBLE MAN IS EASILY THE BETTER FILM...HOLLOW MAN HAS THAT GREAT NOSTALGIC SEXIST ACTION FILM CENTER THOUGH...VERY DIFFERENT ANIMALS.

reply

Fix your keyboard you screaming donkey. Stop typing in caps, you're not 12 anymore.

reply

SPEAKING OF NOT TWELVE ANYMORE,DUMBASS INSULTS AND DEMANDING OTHERS ACT AS YOU SEE FIT....HMM,DOES THAT SOUND AS TWEEN TO YOU AS IT DOES TO ME?

ON A SERIOUS NOTE....WANNA TAKE A LOOK UNDER MY KILT?

reply

GROW UP. There, I said it in your language.

reply

LMAO...FORCED VALUES AND DEFENSIVE INSULTS...DOES MOM KNOW YOURE GROWING UP TO BE A DOUCHEBAG?

reply

Take note @ Kowalski has been around a lot longer than you.
Big caps are Kowalski and we accept that.
Why is it such a big deal for you? You're just a young'un (182)

reply

Lmao at been around a lot longer than you. Pathetic. All that means is, he's plagued the forums 4819 times with his screaming donkey posts. It's an eyesore and completely unnecessary.

reply

OK..thanks for the clarification..so now we know Kowalski types in caps and you type in douche.

reply

Wow, good one. Maybe you want to bring up your post count again. Douchenozzle.

reply

"Hollow Man" is more entertaining. But, it is quite silly, potboiler stuff. The craftsmanship here was very well done.

reply

Heh.

Alright, well I far prefer the cleverer, more impactful and superior film that is The Invisible Man. Hollow Man more macho? Lol, thankfully I’m not concerned with such pettiness (girls be icky!). For real. What’s more, Elisabeth Moss’ performance in Invisible Man easily blows away Shue’s acting in Hollow Man.

Verhoeven’s sinister-ish yet cheesy flick is still a fun watch. That said, apart from Kevin Bacon’s performance and the special effects, nothing about Hollow Man is A+. So this isn’t close — I’ll take Whannell’s more expertly-crafted and tense film over HM any day of the week (the dudebros and oldheads can keep their supposedly macho flick).

This one doesn't appeal to me at all. Hollow Man only slightly more. I still like the 1933 movie and, though I haven't seen it in a long time, I think I prefer Memoirs of An Invisible Man (1992)... Although, maybe it's just that I liked the book and it has rubbed off on the movie.

reply

I don't see one made for women and one for men.
I prefer Hollow Man, too, and I'm a women.
It's just a better film.
