Her face

Elizabeth Moss is a good actress. She's difficult to watch because of her awful looks.

reply

she is perfectly beautiful 😵

reply

I find her really good looking when she has really long blonde hair.

reply

She's all yours.

reply

Firstly, that's a terrible thing to say. B, the Adrian character may have genuine feelings for Ceci that weren't predicated on looks. They may have gotten to know each other, fell in love, then later his controlling side became apparent. Secondly, you're a wanker.

reply

I don't mind being called a wanker. Its deserved here. She's a good actress. She just looks awful.

reply

You are incorrect. She is not a good actress. I was like 'is she a student actor?' watching this? I looked her name up during the movie to try and figure out how she got the part. She had a few good moments of acting, like when she was arrested, and when she cried. But her looking shocked or bewildered was really bad acting.

And whoever shot this obviously did her no favours. The camera angles looking from down to up makes most people look bad so I give her a slight pass on that. But no, she is not leading actress material.

reply

Exactly this. I gave the movie a shot because I didn't care that they had cast a fairly unattractive lead. I just wanted a good Invisible man movie. Turns out that she isn't that good an actress. A few moments of quality as you noted above but I'd give her acting a 5/10. Also, she looked horrible in the movie. Stunningly bad which was enough to distract me. I don't go to movies because "I love how that actor looks!" No. I go for a good story with good production. Her perma-frown and Halloween eyes would jolt me out of the experience every timed they featured her face as focus.

This movie tried to use a woman-vs-psycho-ex as the base for a supernatural horror/suspense film. It failed in both genres. For a good psycho-ex movie example see Sleeping With the Enemy. For a good Invisible Man example, watch pretty much any other Invisible Man movie, including Memoirs of an Invisible Man.

The you-go-girl attempt was too obviously the entire focus of the film. All other considerations fell far below in the production's priorities. The horror elements were cheap, B-grade shit delivered in modern higher quality skin.

3/10

I have to agree with all of this.

reply

Agreed but still enjoyed the movie. Prolly wouldve enjoyed more if she was a hottie

She reminds me of Drew Barrymore having a bad day, lol.

Look, man, this comment doesn't add NOTHING to the movie and just shows how dangerously superficial - if not sexist - you are.

First, she's obviously no Scarlett Johansson but she's far from being ugly; she's a perfect average woman. Secondly, I doubt the "awful looks" of a leading male has ever bothered you in a movie; did you ever think it was difficult to watch a movie because of the "awful looks" of, for example, Joaquin Phoenix or William Dafoe? If not, why only her "awful looks" bothered you? Lastly, her looks is perfect fine for the kind of message the movie wants to deliver; if the protagonist were a top-notch beauty, it could give us the - WRONG - idea that only the most beautiful women are victims of abusive relationships; having an average woman in the leading role shows us that every woman, whether extremely beautiful or not, could be in a situation like that.

reply

Lol. Okay. Still bothered me. If you don't agree that's fine.
