They should have picked that actress for the elf princess role.
I don't deny the fact that Poppy Drayton as Amberle is very pretty and it's just the romance angle of this show that very much felt like a really big kick in the guts to me (as a fan of the books).
Wil and Amberle being together in the books, much like the show is cute, but too cute for that matter. which led to one the biggest pieces of padding I've seen in a TV show yet (Yes I'm refering to that sex scene). Wil and Amberle in the book barely even share any imtamite moments together, but that what made their romance work so tragecally wonderful.
Eretria is drawn to Wil, cause she desires freedom from Cephelo. Eventually she becomes Wil's biggest desire after Amberle leaves him.
They are both a solid 10 in the face department.
Before watching the show I couldn't decide, they are very close. But after 2 episodes I must vote Eretria. Amberle has the body of a 12 year old boy (sorry for my bluntness) whereas Eretria has curves and breasts and just "glows" more when she speaks.

shareEretria.....simple fact that I love Spanish chicks, especially from her region in Eastern Spain. She speaks 3 language, has gorgeous features that should be immortalized in marble and a nice figure. While Amberle is beautiful in her own right, it's the Iberian appeal that I love more.

Ameberle is this type of girl that seems "trendy" right now or something, but I couldn't tell her apart from a few other girls who also play(ed) lead roles (TVD - "Elena"; Eye Candy - "Lindy"), she looks like everyone and no one, bland. Someone who ins't interesting in anyway, is not attractive in any way, at least to me. It surprised me that they chose another "clone" for a lead role, but seeing that many find her very pretty I guess the public opinion differs from mine, which I'm perfectly fine with.
Tough choice, butI have to go with Eretria. This is actually surprising since I remember first seeing Ivana Baquero as a child in the movie Pan's Labyrinth, and I thought she looked like a boy back then.
