Anyone else watching?
Not sure if we needed that half hour intro before they got to the story...and damn they REALLY take this scary story club serious now!

shareI already watched the first episode since it got posted officially on YouTube (see the topic thread I created). I overall enjoyed the episode. I sort of didn't like how we focused a lot on The Midnight Society. Plus I didn't like all the spying/undercover stuff going on to recruit new members. That's not how it worked in the original show. Every time someone new was added, someone knew them and the person being initiated knew the person that suggested them. But even though it looks like the story is going to be about the actual members of The Midnight Society, I am interested to see where things go next in the story. I did see the first episode's twist ending coming, but it still got me interested to check out the next two episodes and see where things go. Also, I did watch the episode live as it aired on TV. I wanted to support it just in case they are using this 3-episode event as a prequel or test to an actual new season of the show and see if they'll get enough people interested in watching the show if it were to come back for a full season. Maybe a couple seasons.
shareMy thoughts on the episode were pretty identical to yours...way to much time spent on the "real life" and not the stories...plus it seems like the story is crossing over into the "real life" which I didn't like at all...this is supposed to be about scary stories...also the story it self was kinda lame..and way too short. I didn't like the spying/undercover stuff either.
shareJust watched it. Initially I was very confused, because I knew a movie was coming out, but didn't know about the short mini series, so I was like "WHAAAATT?" Lol, anyway, I really enjoyed the episode, I appreciate that they are making the show a little bit creepy and I like that they use the same audio for the intro. I like the vibe of the show so far, I hope the movie has a similar creepy vibe. I was a bit worried it would be too family/kid friendly like the recent Goosebumps movies. When I saw the trailer for the movie, it looked more family friendly, but after watching this episode I have higher hopes for the movie now.
Hopefully, it continues to get better.
Also, I thought the kids were charming.
I thought the kids were all very likeable characters..maybe it has to do with the 30min intro? Or maybe just good actors... probably the latter because I don't remember any of their names.
Edited to say I remember the fat kids name..."Graham"
pretty good. pretty intriguing. i liked the main girl. it's on tonight again on nickelodeon at 8PM, a rerun from last year's first episode. will you watch it again like last year?
