Give Amy Adams her Oscar already

Give one to everybody, they've become meaningless anyway.

I thought her best performance was in Enchanted. Her other performances not so good.

She's only 46, still plenty of years left.

I like Amy Adams but I can't help but feel she has lucked into at least a few of her nominations. I don't think she was seriously in the running to win for any of them, but has managed to rack up a hugely impressive batch of nods nonetheless which makes her appear sorely overdue for a win.

I would be happy to see her receive an Oscar for a good performance, and am sure she will get one eventually, but there are any number of actors just as good, or better, who have never managed the Academy profile which she has.

For the record, I'd have nominated her for:

Junebug (I thought she was the best thing about a film I didn't much care for).
The Fighter (see above)
The Master

...and that's probably all, to date, although she was good in Doubt and Arrival too.
