Even though he be stabbed herself as a way of killing Hercules crazy brother but how did she manage to survive.

She stabbed herself in the shoulder. Nothing vital, whereas the brother got stabbed in the chest. They did the same thing in Live Free or Die Hard, but with gun.

But seriously, that was effing stupid. It sure looked like she stabbed herself through the heart. Hercules' reaction supports that.

Hebe was not stabbed in any vital organs; the dagger entered between her shoulder and breast. Why wouldn't she survive?

Back then a tiny infection would kill you. Also she faints instantly as though shed struck own heart...whilethe guy behind her is stabbed dead with the same blade. Ten minutes later she is fine and delivering a child..

If you were a peasant - yes. Kings, which Hercules were after the fight, had healers that knew how to get rid of tiny infections. human bodies are not so fragile either actually. altrtough her fainting was kinda retarded.

Because the director/writer wanted her to live and a happily ever after ending, even though the scene looked like a heroic sacrifice. I guess the writer forgot that the movie kept saying how Hercules had something greater in his future and that he could not stay there.

See thats what I thought but the scene of Herc lookin to the skies all happy after that supports a happy ending. Woulda been kool to have that a dream of a saddened hercules as he rides off into the world.
