season 2 ep 1 starts out with paddy and he's unsufferable. i skipped at least half the prison scene, all the party scenes. i love war movies and i enjoy the battles in this but god damn the show makes it annoying as hell.

I found S1 watchable, if quite superficial.
one was annoying as well but i dont remember as much cringey "im too cool" dialogue. i made that post after seeing only one episode. now i've finished the show. paddy literally has an annoying long comeback for EVERYTHING that someone says to him. i couldnt believe it. show's writer was probably some scottish loser who lives vicariously through this. they jerked off scots way too much in this show.

shareI knew at the end of S1 when the Captain was captured that S2 would struggle at least until they get him out. Paddy is ok as a side kick type but he ain't a lead character. I have only watched the first episode so far but there were too many party scenes and I am waiting for Stirling to be rescued.
Just looked up Wikipedia on Stirling, oh well...
I'm still confused by all this , they turned Paddy into a foul mouthed rude bully with awful manners and a massive chip on his shoulders.
Why ? His character in real life would of been far more interesting, likable and had much better dialogue.
Talking like a drunk bore isn't threatening or cool it makes you sound like a drunk bore .
