Do Norwegians actually still smoke like that?

I thought Norway has the best education system and the most highly educated people in the world.

Or was that just an artistic license by the filmmakers? To depict how "rebelious" or "anti-mainstream" these characters are?

Are you serious? What does smoking have to do with formal education?

Good education tells us that smoking is bad.

Are you a Norwegian? Or live in Norway?

You don't think any college educated people smoke?

reply

Smoking tobacco isn't anywhere near as prevalent as it used to be, although nicotine products overall probably haven't declined all that much. But smoking is uncommon rather than rare, and ironically more prevalent among medical doctors and nurses.

reply

No, they just don't censor it like in the American movies, where if anybody smokes at all, it would be the bad guy.
