Hopefully they use children...

in the first script of suspiria, dario had originally intended to use very little girls, such as those aging from 8-10 years of age, but ended up changing it due to producer issues. if you watch the infamous hallway scene in the early part of the film (where suzy encounters the maid and albert--a kid which i do find scary), notice the door handles are placed up higher, nearly at head-height of suzy. this was to give an appearance of someone smaller.

i'm not particularly for this remake, but if they do, and it seems they are, i would hope they would try it from the original standpoint, and try to keep as much to the original as possible (like the soundtrack, decor, and design)

and hopefully, the girls will not have attitude like you see so much in cinema nowadays. it's hard to feel bad for a person you hate, whereas you end up anticipating their demise....

anyway! that's my two cents on the matter

When I read Natalie Portman was going to be in the lead role, I thought about what you posted. If they have to make a remake of this, if they HAVE to and I have no choice but to accept whatever pile of BS comes from the remake...since Dario Argento is not directing it and the guy who did Pineapple Express, a movie I couldn't stand on so many levels is...why can't they just use children? Like the way Dario Argento originally wanted it?

It would be nice if it was more innocent, like Portman channeled her innocent Black Swan character for this one...I just have bad feelings about it. That it is just going to suck.

Looking forward to Argento's Dracula 3D whenever that gets done. :)

It would make so much more sense with kids in the roles. Instead of having young women act like kids, like sticking their tongues out like spoiled brats. The film is sort of funny that way. Though I do like it a lot!
