i'm not a serviceman, but i found it ill that they would have a marine go so far as to beat up a geek at a high-school party. none of the respected military people i know would stoop so low. maybe i'm loooking too much into it, it is a dumb movie, but for them to have a MARINE act like that disdains in my opion the men and wome who serve.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Lee Oswald a Marine? And Charles Whitman? Most Marines I know are terrific human beings, but there are exceptions.
