I also love cats and love all animals in general, but stories like the one in this movie only happen between dog and human.

Because cats are aloof. They dont have that faithful loyal mentality.

Cats are wonderful companions. I have both dogs and cats and love each one for different reasons. Most cats are extremely independent creatures. Yes, they love and bond with their humans. They experience grief when their human dies. But when I think of a loyal, needy, submissive type of pet, I think of a dog. Most dogs are very needy (for their humans), whereas most cats are independent.

That being said, I have one of those cats who is about as needy and loyal as a dog. When any of us comes home, Sunny is at the door to greet us. He rolls over for us to pet his belly (seriously lol). He comes to us when we call him. He loves nothing more than to sit in our laps for hours. He waits outside bedroom doors when we are in them. He thinks he is a dog lol.

My other cat Alfie is the complete opposite. The only thing he is interested in is food lol. He does anything he wants whenever he wants. He will sit in our laps only when he wants to. He allows us to live in his house lol. I love both Alfie and Sunny equally but for different reasons. Both are wonderful companions. Same with my 4 indoor dogs.
