First Half vs. Second Half

I love this movie I think this alongside Planet Terror were just amazing. My biggest problem with this movie is that the first group of girls are so unlikable. They are all stuck up and,"too good." They were weak and I'm assuming that's why they were killed like nothing. The second group are just the type of badass girls that don't come along often. They don't just get over it and the fact that their still alive, they fight back which is misunderstood by most audiences.

Second half killed the movie... it would be 100 times better if in the end a truck came from nowhere and hit them all with a single blow!!

I agree.
First group of girls come off as the type that never seemed to grow up after high school. The second group of girls were much cooler and I'm a fan of Rosario Dawson and Mary-Elisabeth Winstead. The only one that annoyed me was Kim, but she was okay.
I'd say the flaw with the back half is that a lot of the dialogue is similar to the dialogue in the first half. Girls gossiping about their relationships. While accurate, gets tedious when you're getting a repeat of what we already saw.

Also, for people who only saw this with Grindhouse, it seems much more boring, because Planet Terror was so action heavy, and this one is dialogue heavy. It should have been shown first, PT second. I personally have watched Death Proof far more times than Planet Terror.

Seriously the second half sucked imo, it kind of ruined the whole movie.

I mean i like the idea of having two contrasting parts in a movie, and also that the killer gets some of his own medicine, but the way they executed this turn of events was so drastic and unrealistic that it made the whole storyline seem like a joke.

I mean stuntman mike was screaming and whining to such a degree as soon as he met a little bit of resistance and he didnt have any plan at all during the second act, it didnt make sense compared to his character we saw in the first part.

Also the way these girls in the second act go after him after their near death experience, particulary Zoes character, acting like nothing happened, was completely unrealistic (there are no such girls in existence that would handle that like they did)

and finally the way they attacked him with fists like some fighting game, and the movie just ending there made it look like the last 15 minutes of storyline was rushed or not taken seriously. This in addition to that Zoe and the kim character (the black girl who cursed so much) where completely annoying to watch.

The first half of the movie was really interesting and good, to bad the second half wasnt nearly as good.
