Seriously underrated
Seen it like five times, and I'm not even close to be bored with it.
shareI agree. When most people saw grindhousehey preferred planet terror but I was always partial to death proof. I love Tarantinos dialogue and when I first saw it and even now the action scenes kept me on the edge of my seat. I *beep* love death proof. Love the women he casted
shareBrutal casting.........except 2 of them.....ZOE cant act and we can tell...lame....zero charisma and the lame other black bitch is awful.
Brutal movie.....just watch PORN and get your needs from that.
Feet, stupid woman, bad dialogue and amateur hour all over.
Brutal stupid lame movie.
" ALL MEN MUST DIE "
" UNITE THE SEVEN "
" We get the world we deserve "
" NEGAN is coming "
Every character talks as if they ARE Tarantino. This is true for pretty much all of his movies. I wouldn't call making every character sound like yourself "good dialogue."
shareIt's definitely more jarring/annoying when his dialogue is coming out of these particular girls in this particular movie.
shareAfter reading through these threads, it's obvious that this film isn't rated higher because people are simply too dumb to understand it.
Pants up, don't loot.
I understand it perfectly, it's a straight forward movie, there's nothing to decipher about it, unless you call nods to other influences 'cryptic'. The movie to me is simply uninteresting for the vast majority of it.
So if you're seeing some hidden message that the dumb people who don't rate it aren't seeing, go on and tell us, what is it?
A non reply equals you're talking nonsense and there is nothing to be misunderstood.
It's a movie that caters to a specific audience, particularly fans of the 70's exploitation genre who understand Tarantino's inspirations. (Sexploitation, the road movie, Italian giallo, to name a few)
Most people I know who complain about it have either never seen the genre films that he's referencing, or have no interest in them, so the movie is unlikable to them. Naturally, he puts his trademark spin on these genres, which can equate to long dialogue scenes, but I never had a problem with that because I grew up with 70's cinema, and many movies included that as a film making technique.
"Oh yeah, one more thing....where can I get a pizza?."
I wholly concur with both your statement and your username.
🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾
It is half a good movie. The other half is QT's worst. I would rewatch this before I rewatched H8ful 8 though.
