A minor plot hole that Tarantino didn't think about because he's a man

So during the 2nd act when the girls are eating in the diner Kim says that she carries a gun at all times because she doesn't want to get raped. She believes that it's very dangerous for a girl to be alone without a weapon, preferably a gun and she even says that just pepper spray wont do if someone wants to attack her. And yet they leave the prettiest, girliest girl alone with a man they just met. They even tell the man that Lee is a porn actress and she's also wearing a somewhat revealing cheerleader dress. She's seemingly uncomfortable. No woman would leave their friend like that, especially someone who's extremely concerned about being sexually harassed. Anyways just wanted to point that out because I haven't heard anyone else discuss this.

Nothing sexist about this line then.

I thought she got more than harassed, it looked like she was going to outright raped. Now, this is a grindhouse/exploitation film so bad morals are part of the film's universe. Apparently, the other ladies find Mary E. Winstead's character naïve and annoying since she's doesn't know the difference between Australians and New Zealanders, isn't a bad @$$ stunt person, just a dumb actress, take your pick. It's made as a joke, a real grindhouse would later show her get raped or perhaps show her enjoying sex with the redneck. It was a bit disturbing but this is QT's weakest film. I can't think of another character being hurt or killed in a Tarantino film that didn't deserve it or got their revenge later on.

My own opinion is that Tarantino has a story mapped out as to the fate of Lee.

I have my own head story based on a few facts
a) She is dressed in yellow (like the Bride in Kill Bill).
b) This uniform has Vipers printed on it (The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad again from Kill Bill).
c) The film ia a tribute to 70's movies.
d) Her name is Lee (70s movie star Bruce Lee who also wore yellow)
Now putting this togeather. They never say what kind of movie they are making, well my idea is that its a martial art movie (popular in the 70s) and in a Taratino movieverse a kung fu star is a badass. So Lee might be naive and quiet but leaving her alone with a guy expecting a blowjob isn't quite the dick move it seems.

I think Tatantino leaves these little questions in his movies and lets us fill in the spaces. This was just how my imag[nation filled in the gap.

so you assume from the way she looks that she can't fight or defend herself?
Sure it's as absurd as Kylie Minogue playing Street fighter Cammy, but we don't know how he'd behave or how she'd react.

Also, maybe Kim is just a bit!h and doesn't like Lee?

Interesting you bring this up. If Death Proof truly mirrored the b-horror exploitation flicks it attempted, that girl would have been hunted, tortured and killed, and it would have been a very riveting side-story. Instead, nothing... nothing happens to her. QT dropped all the balls in this one.
