Ok C-level movie
It was a bit predictable - they telegraphed that the Spanish dude was going to die when they had him teaching to the boy to pronounce Lalo (ie - endear the guy to the audience so his death feels more sad)
I also thought the scenes where the lead actor talks about signing off some papers was weak. He shouldn’t have died at the end. And the backstory into the monster could’ve used a little work
But still - it was alright for a C-level flick. The setting was good, and the characters were likable. The brawny Spanish dude (Calderoni from Narcos: Mexico) was the best
