Everyone is praising this film and that only tells me that it's a horrible year for films - hollywood is dead.
Anyways, I saw it and I thought it was interesting - there is however a Japanese film that left a much deeper emotional impression on me - it has a similar premise - that film is called 'memories of tomorrow'

After seeing this I don’t know that I am up for it. Although I agree this is overrated. My biggest problem with it is the daughter rolling out to Paris and leaving him behind to die alone in a home. And you said what I’ve been saying for years the quality of films and the movies suck. It’s like they stopped making really good movies starting in the aughts. Other than Whiplash and Wind River and some others here and there they don’t make em like they used to. All mostly forgettable.
