Am I the only one who thinks this is incredibly underrated?

Surely this film deserves at least an 8. It's arguably the best "rom-com" of the last ten years, and poignantly conveys the feeling of unrequited love and the hopelessness that ensues. The soundtrack is sublime, and there's some really brilliant moments such as the expectations vs. reality scene. But most importantly, it's one of the most real films I've ever seen. I gave it a 10 and have since watched it ten times in the past 2 years. What do some people not like about it?

that scene when she says - what I was never sure of with you... I mean you can hear the shovel hitting his head, it was that powerful...
underrated or not, this was a superb movie

It is underrated and is one of my favorites even though it hits a little close to home.

We completely agree with you! Our podcast review details exactly why the depth of Tom & Summer's relationship is so poignant on screen. The performances by the cast are nothing short of brilliant, and the story is so REAL. It's a quirky, Indie film without becoming cliché or dull. The Hollywood critics of our podcast, Les Roberts and Ann Elder, also gave it a 10 out of 10. Listen here for the full analysis:
