I hate this movie so much. If I could go back in time and prevent myself to lazily stay up late and watch a movie, that comes up next, I would do so. Because I hate this movie so much. d

Now, I think I should clarify "hate". Its not in the sense "omg I hate it coz it sux". Its hate as a pure emotion. A responce to the way it ended. Hate towards characters that survived. Hate towards scenarios she had to go thru. This is very clear, very powerful and disturbingly negative emotion, emited by this picture.

I guess creating such a strong and vivid emotional reponce is what makes art art, but it definitly is not pleasant experience. And I hate it.

hmm funny, I just saw this movie in a list I was looking at on imdb and I immediately thought "I hate hate HATE THIS MOVIE!" just because it was such a horrible experience to watch for all the reasons you listed. Really takes its toll on you. Its so bleak, very harsh.

I loved it for all the same reasons, it made me feel so strongly about the characters, after all Jenny had gone through, after all that happened, after these horrible "children" burnt a kid ALIVE, they managed to get away with it! (most of them). Honestly I thought she was going to get out of it, but in the end, when she realizes who these people helping her are, I knew she was doomed.

I've only felt siilar to this with "The Strangers", "The Last House on the Left" (I only saw the remake, and I mean the first half of it), and "Funny Games".

I hated it too. I hated it for how stupid the main characters were. Brutal movie, but even worse is with an ounce of common sense none of it happens.

I hate this movie, and i feel sorry for Fassbender for playing in it. The script is incredibly bad. When someone kills your pet, you do not respond to him in any way, YOU DO NOT GIVE HIM THE KEYS!! then suddenly change your mind. If you step on e metal pin, and it goes thru your foot, you do not walk for a couple of days, apparently she is a Kenyan running person. Not talking about how they mysteriously move fast, under the little wooden cabin in the water, and etc. And the ending... what grown men acting like little scared children? all have to listen to only the bad dad that has been in prison. And the fact that she didn't escape is not shocking at all, and you can not talk about justice, since she killed a kid that wanted to help her.
I hate you James Watkins for this movie.
