The Dude WHere's My Car actor

This guy is so full of it. I don't believe his tough guy routine for a minute.

Yeah, some parts are straight out of bad B-movie plots; he's embellishing the whole story.

reply

I'm sure he can still flirt w the ladies... He can use his story of sheer badassery to garner quite an audience!
The part where he was first put in the jail & had to punch everyone in the face & then throw some guy over a balcony was like a scene out of a weird musical.

reply

I can't tell if the guy is doing his own re-enactment, here. He looks exactly like him, but I don't think they've ever had the guy being locked up do his own re-enactment, before.

reply

I think that was him doing his own re-enactment, i noticed that too that this was a first. Considering he is an actor i guess it makes sense.

reply

Yes it is him playing himself.

reply

I agree with OP 100%. This guy is so full of crap he makes the show look like a joke. I'm glad this wasn't the first episode I saw, or I'd probably never watch it again.

Someone before me mentioned that all of the scenes were straight out of a bad B-movie. You hit the nail on the hit.

reply

I think this guy watched one too many early 90s Van Dam movies.

He somehow ran from the cops in the airport.
He is thrown into a Pakistan thunder dome AND comes out on top.
His "torturer" has the smug one liners of a cheesy bond villain.
He would rather keep his "pride" than 5 years of his life.
He was the one and only guy to stand up to some bully guard and live to tell about it
AND the entire prison was cheering his name when he left.

Something tells me this stuff didn't happen as told.

I have to return some videotapes.

reply

Yeah, he probably embellished parts but I'll take his word for the most part. He is a stuntman for a living.

reply

I dont believe he wasn't aware he was smuggling drugs..nothing about that arrangment seemed right.

reply

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought that parts of this story really did seem like they came right out of a Hollywood script. I mean, who knows - truth really is stranger than fiction - but parts of the story definitely seemed embellished.

What I also didn't get was his concept of innocence. He kept going on and on about how he was innocent/not guilty/had commited no crime. All right, even if he did honestly believe that he was only carrying "leather goods", he DID smuggle drugs. He did commit the crime, knowingly or otherwise.

I was just watching this last night and thought the same thing. I'm calling shanagins on 90% of his story.

reply

Not to mention he comes off as a total douche...

reply

I watched this one with my teenage daughter, and we were both laughing at his ridiculous story, complete with his being cheered by all the prisoners as he leaves. He was such a douche, he deserved to be beaten within an inch of his life.

reply

The same here. Me and my girlfriend watched this and couldn't stop laughing at how unbelievable it was. The moment I saw he was playing himself I knew this story had little credibility. I'm surprised the national geographic channel even broadcasted this.

reply

Wow, I am glad that I am not the only one. He is Captain Douche in the flesh. Also, I don't remember him from the movie at all yet he dismisses it like he was one of the two male leads. Even if he did not KNOW he was smuggling, nothing seemed fishy to him? I am sorry but everyone on this show is stupid.

No, I don't watch Wizards of Waverly Place! I am an adult!

reply

*uck you all,this episode rocked!

reply

Wow. Really? So if I think you're a tool, I should wish for you to be beaten within an inch of your life? Get a grip, internet psycho.

reply

I got the same funky feeling about this episode. The typical person seems somewhat humble or contrite while retelling their prison experiences but this guy was full frontal Rambo Jr. I guess that’s better than explaining how you had your mother send money every month to buy protection so he wouldn’t get punk’d…. again, after crying himself to sleep.

I would think that someone would want to learn a few of the customs of these countries before approaching a group of young women with a bag of Pork Rinds and a can of beer before unleashing that SoCal charm. Hard to believe he wasn’t welcomed as a hero sooner.

I think it's just the producers trying to make the show more hip. It's not what it used to be.
agreed, this season seems to have really taken a tumble in quality.
