An opinion from a teenager.

I do not drink. I do not smoke. I do not screw, unless I am using a screw DRIVER. Now I hear there are people, adults who have been whining about how Dakota Fanning was in this movie.

Here's something. I'm a 16 year old BOY. Technically 17 in several days. I'm what girls would call very funny, talented, not BAD looking, hell! I even have a damned set of abs on me! I'm 5'11 and 135 pounds.

Here's something that will blow you away.
I'm a virgin. I have morals. I'm actually more adult like than adults themselves, because they too can be irrational, yet I control my feelings of impulse. Believe it or not, as few as there are out there, there are teenagers JUST like me.

I'm Atheist! I don't have anyone telling me what I should or shouldn't do! And I hate reading books, so I don't follow what books tell me.

I listen to mostly 70's music, because I'm old fashioned, and I like it. I hate the overdramatic, yet I can sit around and occasionally crack a joke about it here and there.

Like I did today with Eclipse and 3 of my girl FRIENDS. I noticed Dakota Fanning and decided to come to her IMDB and noticed that "THIS GIRL SHOULDN'T BE IN THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT'S A BAD INFLUENNNNCE" "Jesus Christ wouldn't allow THIS!"

Now I'm sorry, but Uh.. That's a bit shovenistic.

You raise your kids. Leave her alone. Her parents will face their future consequences if the choice was bad.

Now I personally challenge any of you so called "Adults" who plan to challenge MY logic. My completely unbiased logic.

I don't hate adults, I actually respect all of them. Most of them. The ones that can think with their head, which I'm suprised to find are at the same ratio as teenagers.

If she was ready, she was ready. If not, she will face the consequences and she'll learn, what's been done has been done.

> Now class, . . . class; I want you to all write an essay . . . 1,000,000 words or less about, how to:
>>pat yourself on the back, shake your own hand, kiss yourself on the forehead, spank your own monkey, blow your own bugle, blow your own eh-hem, toot your own horn, tweet your own whistle, beat your own drum, march to the beat of your own drum, beat your own eh-heh-hem, ring your own bell, give yourself an +A, take the high road, pin a medal on your chest, stand at attention and salute yourself, smile and wink at yourself, give yourself the nod, dedicate a statue of yourself, write yourself a good review, report favorable on yourself, not take yourself for granted, write your name in the sky, place your name among the stars, put yourself up on a pedestal, bow down and worship yourself, bake humble pie and not eat it, defeat yourself against all odds, whisper sweat nothings in your own ear, present yourself with an award, congratulate yourself, flatter yourself, brag about your size, give yourself a big head, give yourself any kind of head, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
> Oh ya, tell Dakota she a bad girl and she'll get what's comming to her and she deserves it too!
> And don't forget to tell the world how great you are!

Meh, I'm not too impressed. Well, I am with the fact that you can type messages properly. I guess I didn't understand the dramatics of adding in your self description and what not..
There's actually lots of people that think Dakota's performance was amazing and that it's not wrong for her to have portrayed Cherie Currie. If you wanted people to tell you it was wrong or like you wanted to get that across to people who whine about it, I'd contact a tabloid or something.

Not too many on here, I notice IMDB folk generally like to keep an open mind.

They were playing 70s rock stars....

And if you read the source material (go read...) the book was quite a bit darker than what they showed on the screen. I guess if that offends you, get over it.

They aren't trying to describe teenagers, they were showing the struggle of that band, pressure on underage stars, the relationship between the two main characters.

Ha! You're not mature at all ! You're just a 16 year old snot nosed kid. You're trying to display this air of maturity and make it seem like you have all this life experience yet you condemn alcohol and sex? I'm not endorsing either, but I've yet to meet someone interesting that denies themselves of both. You're 16! Act your friggin age. Run around, make mistakes create memories - Thats how you learn and grow as a person. Otherwise you're gonna turn into a smug geek that is absolutely zero fun to talk to. You probably wake up in the morning make yourself a bowl of porridge pour yourself a cup of coffee and crack open the newspaper before you pack up your briefcase for school. I'm not even that old, I'm 21 but I loved my teens. Youth is the best thing ever, and you're wasting it.

While reading the OP, I couldn't help but LOL.

To the topic creator: Kid, you may think you're smart, hot **** right now but just get about five more years (at the least) of life experience and you'll be singing another tune. You have no idea how much life changes in such a short amount of time with the situations and experiences you will have. When you're out of high school, through with college (if you decide to pursue that route), have a job, pay bills, balance relationships and have other human beings who depend on your decisions... Maybe then you'll really be hot ****. Maybe not. Until then, you're just another arrogant child with a huge ego. I know that may hurt your pride right now, but you'll know what I mean after you've lived a bit. I have done some HOBBIES longer than you've been alive, if that gives you any perspective.

You do realize that this is a movie. It's not real. Actions taken place were not actually performed. All movies work that way; it's called editing.

Seek therapy my son.

Actually, no, you'll be fine once you go to college and find out how real life is outside of the confort of your parents' walls.

All teenagers think they're more mature, until they are faced with real decisions.

Enjoy childhood.

And since you're obviously overly religious, I'll leave you with this: Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Dont know why you even shared....your....um thoughts? More alarming is that i read half.
You share your "insight" (something even a sane teenager does not have yet!) about what or what you are not believe in, and you won't even listen if someone dares telling you.

Time to cum out of the closet, will save you alot of time bitching about "Christians" or whatever else you dream of.
