So disgusting.

Are we just trying to shock people here? Poor attempt at a beginning and a lame way to start a movie.

I definitely recommend that you do NOT watch Carrie if this grosses you out.

Or Unfaithful or Homeland as shocking things are done involving paper towels. OP seems very, very easily shocked.

LOL! I was gonna say the same thing. Carrie has the ultimate period beginning! The Runaways scene is super tame in comparison!

Eh..... Is it really that big of a deal? It was a 'Period Piece" (Pun intended) movie anyway. It served a purpose as has been said. That little scene is an easy and rather ingenious way to get their ages established.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man....

Wow... Try watching "A Serbian Film", "An American Crime", "Salo" or even "Martyrs" (French version) and then tell us how you feel about that scene you thought was disgusting :) I have a feeling that your disgust will be put into proper perspective if you watch those movies.

Yeah, if they watch Martyrs, they won't be complaining about this one any more that's for sure. That is a disturbing film.
