Michael Shannon stole this movie.

The guy was brilliant, he was playing something I've never seen him play before, just perfect casting, you could base an entire film around him doing that character and it would be brilliant.

Whenever he was on screen, he was just so magnetic that it stole the movie away from everyone else.

He pretty much does that in every movie he's in. In Revolutionary Road he earned an Oscar Nomination from two scenes!

I agree.

His performances stand out in every movie I have ever seen him in.

In fact, I will watch a movie solely on Michael Shannon being in it because he's *that* good :)

Shannon was great in this, agreed.

reply

I totally agree. I thought he was a lot of fun. Brilliant.

reply

I thought he was creepy, kinda scary and pimpish. No doubt, he nailed it.

I've been a fan since I saw Bug back in 2006. At the end of the film, I told the girl I was with, "now that is how people go crazy."

reply

I agree! Though I honestly can't think of a movie or scene that he has been in that he hasent stole. The man is magnetic and has been underrated for far too long.

I agree. He really got into the role. The ferocity and conviction he brings to his role as Kim Fowley is much appreciated.

I thought Shannon's acting was way OTT. He is much better in Boardwalk Empire.

reply

Kim Fowley from all reports was pretty OTT himself.

4) You ever seen Superman $#$# his pants? Case closed.

reply

Not to be mean..but I could barely watch the screen when he was on... maybe I just didnt like the character..or maybe the script was just so bad..

reply

He is starting to become one of my favourite actors! Watch him in the movie "Take Shelter" absolutely amazing...glad to see him starting to get more attention!

reply

'Take Shelter' is a great movie and wonderful (as always) performance by Shannon.
