Why do people cower to tolerance?

We should accept people who we believe are "different" and do no harm to them, however we should not cower to them. We should not be embarrassed to stand up for our own beliefs, however, when people who are Christian try to express their opinions, they are pummeled with accusations of being intolerant and accepting, therefore a lot of them (weeds) are plucked.

"Duh. You're the idiot. Not me."

reply

You just described political correctness in 2015.

reply

you are obviously more comfortable in 1955

reply

You say that like it's a bad thing...

reply

1955 was a wonderful time. There were problems, but instead of just eliminating them, the left has gone too far, as they always do.

reply

Political correctness is tyranny with manners.

Yeah, that tends to happen when you start demonizing an entire group of people who have absolutely no control over the way they are. It would be like saying redheads are immoral, and talking about the 'redhead lifestyle'.

reply

Homosexuality is a choice. Why haven't they yet to show a genetic code???

reply

Where's the code for heterosexuality?

reply

The X and the Y

reply

Christians don't see their viewpoint as an opinion, they see it as fact. That is why people become so irritated with religious people in general.

reply

^^^ that and the fact that every christian without exception fails to live up to their own ideology in some way or (usually) many ways, yet somehow some of them have the time and the need to single out and chastise other people over the "sin" of homosexuality which jesus never even felt the need to reference in the bible's new testament. there is no reason to respect such ridiculously random hypocrisy. done and done.

Larry Gaylord: "a billion people come in on a day off, and they don't flip out!"

reply

"Christians don't see their viewpoint as an opinion, they see it as fact. "
Same is true of the LGBTQP cult now. And their opinions are provably false and don't even go back thousands of years.

" every christian without exception fails to live up to their own ideology in some way"
And that is the first thing they tell you in the religion.

"jesus never even felt the need to reference in the bible's new testament. "
He didn't reference the guys who like to have their testicles stepped on by women in high heels either. Because it's a gross dumb thing and he figured it went without saying.

reply

I don't have a problem respecting someone's religious beliefs. The problem is when they use those beliefs to try and dictate what others can and cannot do. Once they do that they are fair game.

Also, too many of them say horrible things about others and then start crying persecution and free speech when someone goes after them.

reply

Aww, poor oppressed Christian. LMFAO

reply

its being accepting not cowering

reply

If you don't approve of homosexuality, don't be homosexual! Duh!

reply

I don't give a rat's ass if you "tolerate" what I do in bed. It's none of your business, pervert.

And, gays don't tell others what to do in bed. Christians do.

See the difference now?

reply

Doctors tell us what to do in bed, too. They tell us things like "Wear a condom during sex to prevent the spread of HIV." How dare doctors be so anti-AIDS! They must be stopped!
